My name is Edwin L. Harrell Jr., but most people call me Les. I am a husband, father, and most importantly a follower of Christ. I’m also a people-person and always strive to find common interests with others. One of the most important things I’ve learned through the years, be it business or personal….is that it’s all about building relationships with people. Equally as important, are your character and your word….two of the most significant items in life that an individual can possess that can neither be bought nor sold. How successful you become in your life’s journey hinges on these two very important principles….no doubt about it! Being passionate about every aspect of your life can be very rewarding as well, and two things I’m extremely passionate about are my faith in Jesus and my love of sports! I really enjoy being a student of the Word…..and also if you know me, you know for an absolute fact that I’m a sports fanatic! I love pretty much any sport, with a few exceptions! I also enjoy collecting sports memorabilia and autographs. I’ve been very blessed and fortunate to have met numerous athletes & celebrities through the years accompanied by my son which we’ve enjoyed together as a long running hobby. Without a doubt, they have been some of the greatest father/son bonding times with memories that will last a lifetime! So needless to say, I have some very interesting stories about our many adventures relating to this unique hobby. I am also a jokester at heart and really enjoy making people laugh….which I’ve always believed that laughter truly is the best medicine. Why not enjoy life and make everything as fun as possible, within reason, right? That’s my belief any way! I’m also a bit of a health nut…always have been and I’m sure I always will be. Being healthy and young at heart is what I’ve always strived for….and it’s never gotten old(no pun intended). Now on to a different topic…my business experience.

Many of you have heard of Ed Harrell & Associates and have seen the name around Florence throughout the countless years. My father, Edwin L Harrell Sr., built a tremendous real estate, construction, insurance, and property management business which lasted over 55+ years until his death in June of 2022. His business was based on a foundation of integrity, trust, and a strong work ethic. Some of his many accomplishments were: President of Florence Board of Realtors ‘75, Charter member of the Florence MLS and President ‘81, President of local Home Builders ‘77-‘82-‘88-‘92, Builder of the Year ‘82 & ‘87, Realtor of the year in ‘83, President of IIAA ‘89-‘90-‘91, and many other accolades. I was extremely blessed to work alongside my father for 35+ years as a licensed P & C insurance agent and was also able to glean some of his knowledge of real estate through the many years we worked together. So I have a lot of experience working with the public and I learned a lot of valuable lessons along the way. One of the main things my dad taught me is that the customer service of my client and their satisfaction is ALWAYS of the utmost importance, whether it involves insurance, real estate, or any other form of business! As the old saying goes…”People don't care how much you know until they know how much you care"! I’ve always tried to live my life by that mantra and am very thankful I was taught that at such a very young age. As a result of that training I received, I believe that honesty, integrity, and transparency are the keys to success in the real estate business or any other industry for that matter. Consequently, since I share the same principles and values my father exemplified throughout his life which he instilled in me during our time together, I am extremely honored to share my dad’s name and also carry on his legacy in the real estate profession moving forward.

I take pride in my work and I am totally committed to providing my clients with the best possible customer service available, allowing me to meet their individual needs while helping guide them through the process of buying and/or selling real estate. My number one goal is to make that process a seamless and stress-free experience for all my clients!
